Purpose:
When the wire and cable products are short circuited or exposed to fire, the insulation or sheath may burn. In many occasions (coal mines, ships, subways, shopping malls and other public places) where strict fire prevention is required, the flame should not spread in case of combustion, but extinguish itself in a certain period of time and a certain length, which is called non flame retardancy. In some cases, if the product does not have this function, it will cause extremely serious personal injury and property losses.
Therefore, in the production process, PVC, chloroprene rubber and butylamine PVC composites are widely used as insulation and sheath materials for products with non flame retardancy. When these materials are burned, chlorine will be released to play a flame retardant role. Sometimes in order to enhance the effect of flame retardant, some flame retardant is added.
